Oolite Arts strives to be a leader in the South Florida contemporary cultural scene as a creative and learning center, and  internationally recognized as a world class cultural center.

The mission of Oolite Arts is to support artists and advance  the knowledge and practice of contemporary visual arts and culture in  South Florida. Oolite Arts creates opportunities for experimentation and  innovation, and encourages the exchange of ideas across cultures through  residencies, exhibitions, public programs, education and outreach.

The Oolite Arts Home + Away program is a series of one-week to five-week paid artist residency opportunities hosted at partnering institutions at some of the most prestigious residencies in the country. Along with dedicated hours to work on individual studio practices, Oolite Arts recognizes that time well spent in community with fellow artists is crucial in furthering artistic lives.

The Feb-March session of Home + Away is a five-week Oolite Arts takeover of Anderson Ranch in Snowmass Village, Colorado. Fourteen Miami artists and filmmakers will be chosen to participate in the program, which includes access to communal workspace and to international curators and master artists. Artists will receive an unrestricted $2,500 stipend in addition to coverage of their accommodations and travel costs.   Full application details click here NOTE:  Application is also available in Spanish and Creole.
